Reclaimed Serving Board

This fractal burned charcuterie board is made from reclaimed timber. Items like this are really rewarding to work on. Instead of starting with pristine wood from the lumber yard, I first start by searching through a warehouse filled from floor to ceiling with reclaimed timber collected from barns and other sources across the country. Once I found this diamond in the rough, it was time to get it back to the shop and start removing years of dirt and aging to reveal the beauty hidden beneath. Once the timber is fully cleaned and prepped, the fractal burning process begins followed by more refinement and finishing, resulting in the unique and character filled piece pictured below.
