Reclaimed Pewter Poor
Using negative space caused by a defect can sometimes yield the best results. In this project, a reclaimed piece of wood was meticulously cleaned, revealing its unique character. A pewter resin was poured into the imperfections, transforming them into purposeful design elements. After careful sanding and polishing, followed by a rich application of tung oil, the final piece emerged, showcasing a stunning interplay of natural wood grain and the sleek, reflective surface of the resin. This approach highlights how defects can contribute to the beauty of custom woodworking, turning what was once seen as an imperfection into a focal point of the creation.
